Freinds With Benefits

Dylan (Justin Timberlake) and Jamie (Mila Kunis) after having a brutal broke-up have decide to be down-with-love. So Dylan decided to accept an offer and relocate from L.A. to N.Y.C there Jamie signed him to a one year contract as the editor of a New York Magazine. Being friends with Jaime they think it's going to be easy to add sex to their friendship, while trying to avoid the cliche of Hollywood romantic comedies. Soon they discover that getting physical always does lead to complication.

Friends With Benefits is directed by Will Gluck who has far made a new format for romantic comedy. This laugh out loud movie about sex without strings (THEORY IS BULL CRAP ), but it's made it in a way that everyone will understand, laugh at it and enjoy it.

I give this movie 3 1/2 Stars.

Devil Double

Latif Yahia (Dominic Cooper) have been summoned from the desert to Saddam Hussein's palace, without a clue why. Latif has been order by Uday Hussein (Dominic Cooper) himself " The Black Prince" to be his body double. The notorious, sadistic, party-boy, who is known for his vicious sexual and brutal appetite. Uday not taking no for an answer, made sure that Latif families live are at stake, Latif must surrender his life and his self forever, he must learn and become Uday for the world to believe. Unfortunately, nothing could have prepare him for how psychotic The Black Prince really is.

Devil Double is very hard to see due to the graphics nature, but based on the true life story of Uday Hussein with added documentaries in the film make it, a little close for comfort that such a monster did exist. Dominic Cooper did a great job portraying the dual role, watch with caution this film will move you.

I give this movie 3 1/2 Stars.

A Better Life

Carlos (Demian Bichiar) is a gardener who lives's in East L.A, but struggles to keep his son Luis (Jose Julian) away from the gangs that has ravaged his neighborhood. Carlos tries to give his son the life he never had while trying not to get deported.

A Better Life is a story depicting the life of an immigrant who has worked all his life with many regrets except for what he would do for his son. A touching, loving caring movie, of a father and son dynamic, and the length a father will go through to try to give his son a better life. There's some stereotypical portrayal of the Latin community, but despite this aspect this movie was amazing.

Bad Teacher

All Elizabeth (Cameron Diaz) wanted is to marry her rich fiance, but after he dumped her, she had no other choice but to return and work in her mundane job as a teacher. Until she met the new handsome substitute teacher Scott (Justin Timberlake) and after finding out that he is rich, she fight for his affection with her colleague, Amy (Lucy Punch) who also is interested in Scott. Elizabeth also finds herself dealing with the advances of the gym teacher Russell (Jason Segel) who is very much interested in her and will not stop pursuing her. Will Elizabeth win the man of her pocketbook dreams, or will her wild and outrageous schemes have her running for cover?

Bad Teacher is not your typical romantic comedy, but it has the romantic comedy formula, sexy lady, handsome rich guy, sweet lovable guy and then the clincher "which one will she choose"? Bad Teacher has some cliche, but a lot more in it's originality, very funny scenes and amusing sexual theme,(one that will have you talking at the water cooler for sure), but overall Bad Teacher wasn't Bad at all.

I give this movie 3 1/2 Stars.

The Art Of Getting By

George (Freddie Highmore) is a lonely and slightly neurotic teen with constant thoughts of death on his mind to make any real effect in school, but somehow George has manage to make it to senior year without ever having done any real work. One day George is befriended by Sally (Emma Roberts) a beautiful and complicated girl, she sees the true artistic gentle soul of George and believe in him when he doesn't believe in himself.

The Art of Getting By is a sweet indie romance movie of two kids finding the strength from within and growing-up, knowing that life is messy but that doesn't stop you from living it. This coming of age movie is touching and a little neurotic, but that's life and you can't help but like the characters.

I give this movie 3 Stars.

The Help

Skeeter (Emma Stone) returns home to Jackson Mississippi, after graduating from college determined to become a writer. Life in a small town in 1963 is hard for a career woman, so she got a great idea for a book to write an expose on the life of the help. Skeeter decided to interview her best friend, a black maid and write the story from the help point of view, as they take care of prominent southern families. Aibileen (Viola Davis) was the first of the help to open up to skeeter but not at first, she knew she can get in to a lot of trouble just for socializing with a white woman. So in secret she told her story but the rest of the black community didn't want nothing to do with the project, then Minny Jackson (Octavia Spencer) joined the collaboration and soon more women tired of the treatment they were getting, came together to tell their stories, and as it turn out they had a lot to say about what went on in the homes of their bosses. After their book was publish a unlikely friendship emerges from these three ladies, forcing this small town to face the facts that time were changing.

The Help is a beautifully writing, directed and casted movie. Directed by Tate Taylor who made a strong poignant film, that was at time hard to see without getting emotional. The blatant discrimination back in the 1960's was very difficult to watch, but to be able to tell the story as hard as it was back then, it will move you to tears, and laughter too. I predict that this film and some of it stars will have "OSCAR" nominations, as they deserve it so.

"A MUST SEE MOVIE FOR ALL AGES'

I give this movie 5 Stars.

Attack The Block

Attack the Block is a about a gang of delinquent kids from a rough inner city project in south London, who after killing a small alien creature, is unaware that more are coming but the rest aren't as small as the one they killed. Now the kids are trying to stay alive and defend their turf against the savage alien creature, making there neighborhood a war zone.

Attack The Block has promising sci-fi action, the alien will surprise you. Attack the Block is like the little engine that could, if given a chance, so don't judge this book by it's cover cause it will surprise you.

I give this movie 3 1/2 Stars.
