Burlesque

Ali(Christina Aguilera) is a small town girl with aspiration to escape her hardship life and follow her dreams to L.A. After an unproductive search for work Ali stumbles upon the Burlesque Lounge, a magnificent but ailing theater that has inspired musical revue, there Ali landed a job as a cocktail waitress from Jack (Cam Gigandet) the bartender and was approved by Tess(Cher), the club's proprietor and headliner. Soon Ali makes her way from the bar to the stage. Her spectacular voice restores the Burlesque Lounge to it's former glory, but will it be too late before entrepreneur Marcus(Eric Dane) forces Tess to sale her Lounge?

Burlesque is Christina Aguilera's feature movie debut and she did a very good job. With Veterans like Cher, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci and Alan Cumming on stage, she was in good hands. The music was phenomenal, the choreographing especially exceptional. I left the theater wanting to be a burlesque dancer.. And so will you.

I give this movie 4 Stars.

Laura has proclaimed her innocence, but with no proof, she was convicted. After three years into her sentence, John is under pressure to hold his family together for his son Luke (Ty Simpkins) sakes, who needs him now more then ever. However, everything changes after he received the rejection letter for the final appeal, and Laura couldn't handle it anymore. John decided that there's only one solution and that is to breaking her out of prison and there's nothing he won't risk to achieve this, including his own freedom.

The Next Three Days is a high action movie, Russell Crowe delivers another hit. For the men, he gives this character a toughness feeling with a bit of 007. For the women, he gives them a compassionate and caring man that will risk anything for the woman he loves.

I give this movie 4 Stars

Fair Game

Fair Game is based on a true story of married couple Valerie Plame (Naomi Watts) and Joe Wilson (Sean Penn). Valerie who had worked for 18 years as an undercover CIA operative agent was eradicated from her position as an field agent. Plame's career in the CIA was destroyed after a White House official exposed her to the press after her husband wrote an article to the New York Time's saying that the Bush's administration manipulated intelligence information about weapons of mass destruction to justify the war in Iraq in 2002.

This movie will stir up strong politic emotions either for it or against what Bush did to start the war. You will come out with conviction and passion about this couple fight for their rights as Americans.

Morning Glory

After Becky Fuller(Rachel McAdams) was fired from her New Jersey morning-news program "Daybreak" and she moved back home. Becky was dealing with rejection after rejection until a break came her way, in the format of a low-rating morning program news in New York City. Unfortunately, the show has been unsuccessful for 40 yrs, so to shake things up and to pick-up the rating, she bring on a legendary anchorman, Mike Pomeroy(Harrison Ford). Pomeroy however, refuses to cooperate with anyone including the producer Becky and his co-anchor Colleen Peck(Diane Keaton) by not doing any puff news. How can Becky manage an unruly anchor,a new relationship and a tanking ranking?

Morning Glory is a smart funny story, Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton are pure magic together. The storyline make sense, a true refreshing comedy, enjoyment for both men and women. Keaton has brought out her wildness to the film and Ford has kept it straight lined funny you'll love the balance.
I give this movie 4 Stars.

Unstoppable

Unstoppable is about a dangerous runaway train carrying toxic chemicals. Train engineer Frank Barnes(Denzel Washington) and conductor Will Colson(Chris Pine) team-up to stop it. Connie Hooper(Rosario Dawson) works frantically with the two men to stop it before it derails and causes the spilling of toxic material on a small town.

Directed by Tony Scott, he has made this high impact action that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Once again Denzel Washington has you spellbound, and you can't look away.

I give this movie 3 1/2 Stars.
