Playing For Keeps

Playing for keeps is a romantic comedy starting Gerard Butler and Jessica Biel. After they divorce and Gerard retired as a professional soccer player he doesn't know what to do, trying to became a sportscaster and to reconnect with his 9 year old son, he is failing horribly, being a father is hard, but he's trying to connect with his son and not become a has been player is very difficult to juggle. Adding that he still in love with his ex and she's engage to married another, how is this multi triangle going to end.

Playing for keep is typical romantic comedy with a basic plot, not original nor exciting, but definitely eye candy in Gerard Butler, he makes this movie tolerable to see with his good looks and that sexy accent just watching him made me happy. This movie is a toss up, I like Gerard Butler's performance and his connection with his son, but that's about it.

I give this movie 2 1/2 Stars.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn 2

The final chapter of the twilight saga comes to an epic end. From the beginning  part 2 was set out to break all the rules and it did, I consider this movie to be one of the best from the series and what a way to go, with all the bells and whistles, all the way to the end. The final battle will leave you breathless, your going to need CPR and that no joke. I screamed so profusely that I lost my voice, with all the cheering in the theater, how can you not lost it. This movie will have you all the way to the end, plus this saga will introduce new vampire and their special gifts they posses and how they are willing to protect Renesmee, the Cullens clan, and battle to the end. A MUST SEE MOVIE DON'T MISS IT.

I give this movie 5 Stars...

SKYFALL

Once again 007 is back with a vengeance, Daniel Craig has evoke the character James Bond. This movie is packed full with action and explosion everywhere. The excitement of the latest James Bond film will have every men dodging bullets and all the women wanting Bonds towel to fall off. James Bond franchise is celebrating 50 years and still looks good. The action is on point but the dialogue can be better, you won't be disappointed.

I give this movie 4 Stars.

Paranormal Activity 4

Katie is back, in this absolutely best Paranormal Activity to date, a perfect ending to the interquels. We got what we expected from the Paranormal Activity franchise in this 4th installment, and it didn't let us down. It's was scary, thrilling and had a few new technology for the camera that I didn't even know about. Excellent horror movie, you won't leave the theater disappointed. I couldn't stop screaming, now that's entertainment. This is what horror movie should be, sit gripping, head covered and screaming so loud you wake the dead, then going home and sleep with one eye open and all the lights on, now that a great film. "A MUST SEE MOVIE".

I give this movie 5 Stars.

Sinister

Sinister, well the title tells you everything, you have to be completely disturbed to create a movie like this one. One of the best scary movies I've seen in while. Brilliant way of using super 8 films to make it more psychotic and scary. Ethan Hawke has transformed himself into this character, Ellison Oswalt a true crime novelist while a hellish nightmare became reality for him and his family. Sinister will frighten you to the core. DON'T WATCH THIS MOVIE ALONE. You will sleep with the light on.

I give this movie 5 Stars..

Taken 2

Taken 2 is a continuation of what happen in the first film. With the same action and explosions this sequel is not bad. Although Liam Neeson is a bit older and somewhat tired, it was still a enjoyable movie. Revenge, kidnapping, and escape plan is the name of this game, you wont be disappointing. But I hope that they wont go for the trilogy, because the first movie was the best, and this one fell a little short.

I give this movie 3 Stars..

Hotel Transylvania

Hotel Transylvania, is an adorable film that has a great message for parents. At times is was dragging, but not too bad. Adam Sandler did a wonderful portrayal as Count Dracula, a man who wanted to protect his daughter from what he feel to be the prejudice human out to destroy all monster, it was simply touching. Well with Adam Sandler's movie the usual cast member/friends were in it; Kevin James, David Spades, Steve Buscemi, and Andy Samberg. But now Adam has added now voice to his posse which includes Fran Drescher and Selena Gomez as his Daughter. This star cast made this movie fun for everyone, no matter what's your age.

I gave this movie 3 1/2 Stars.

House at the end of the street

House at the end of the street was very predictable, in almost every scene. The end was a total surprise with a unique twist. But to sit through the whole cliche of this movie to have at the end of the movie give a hind of originality is wrong. Good try but needed to start original and end that way otherwise the audience will be hate it. An Alfred Hitchcock film it is not, so please don't compare, but this movie is not totally bad Elisabeth Shue and Jennifer Lawrence where great, but not even great talent like them can carry this whole plot by themselves. So inclusion, ending was excellent, but the rest unoriginal.

I give this movie 3 Stars.

That's My Boy

Donny (Adam Sandler) a middle school student is seduced by his hot teacher Miss Mary McGarricle (Eva Amurri Martino) who got pregnant, leaving Donny a single father. Donny had to raise his son Todd (Andy Samberg) until his 18th birthday, when he detached himself from Donny. After years Donny is force to locate his son, but timing could not be worse, because it's Todd wedding weekend and Donny is the last person he wants to see.

That’s my boy is directed by Sean Anders who is known for”Hot Tub, Time Machine” and “Mr. Popper’s Penguins”. As silly as this movie is, you will enjoy it. That’s my boy has special cameo from Vanilla ice and Todd Bridges, you will be astonished that at the end of this movie you're still laughing.

I give this movie 3 1/2 Stars.

Rock of Ages

Rock of Ages is a lively musical that feature the 80’s best of rock & roll, with intensely set cast of talented singers, Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Mary J. Blige and featuring Tom Cruise as Stacee Jaxx a rock legend, who knew that Tom Cruise can sing? The story is about a small town girl coming to the big city in the pursue of love and fame. Boy finds girl, girl finds her own voice in the big hard city, but as cheesy as it sounds, this great cast of talented actors bring authenticity to the film. Taking you by surprise with their ability to perform in a complete musical Rock of Ages will shock you.

This movie start with great music from all your favorite groups of the 80’s, “Bon Jovi”, “Journey”, “Styx”, “Whitesnake”, “Poison” and “Gun & Roses” and much more. You will truly be unable to stop yourself from singing out loud because every song reminds you of a place in time when you first heard it, nostalgia really kicks in, in this movie. You will enjoy and I won’t be surprise if Rock of Ages becomes a pop culture classic for our kids just like “Grease” was for us back in the 80’s.

I give this movie 5 Stars..

Chernobyl Diaries

Chernobyl Diaries is a film of three couples going on an extreme tour guide of the abandoned city of Pripyat in the Ukrainian, the location of one of the worst nuclear disaster ever. The city was abandoned 25 years ago, and the tour was supposed to be for 2 hour. During the expedition the group realized they're not alone.

Chernobyl Diaries is directed by Bradley Parker and I wish he would have thought twice before making this film. Bad is not enough to describe this film, terrible, stupid and boring comes to mind. I had a special screening for this movie and I feel cheated because nothing will give me back my time that i wasted watching this film.

I give this movie 1 1/2 Stars.

Battleship

Battleship is the story of two men, a lady and a fleet of alien on their way to inhabit Earth and destroy mankind. Lieutenant Alex Hopper (Taylor Kitsch) is a man without focus, but full of potential if he just learns not to act without thinking, and his love Sam (Brooklyn Decker) the daughter of Admiral Shane (Liam Neeson) his boss who doesn't like him. Commander Stone Hopper (Alexander Skarsgard) is Alex older brother, who is on top of his career and now has to force Alex to get in order or he will be kicked out of the Navy. But little do they know that the siege was in place and only one will be victorious, humans or aliens.

Someone just sink my battleship is the name of the game, and just like the board game this action pack movie has it all, action, adventure, special effect galore and courage. Children of all ages will love this movie (yes I do mean men..LOL). This film will not be a waste of time, so sit back and relax, and let’s play the game..

I give this move 4 Stars.

What To Expect When You're Expecting

What to expect when you’re expecting, is a film about five couples who are interrelated and how each of them deals with the knowledge that there are expecting a baby. Each of the couple experiences the news differently, and wonders how they come out as good parents when they don’t know anything about having a baby. The men are nervous and scared in their own way, while the women can’t wait to see the pride and joy come to the world, but underneath the exterior their all scare, waiting for the big day.

What to expect is an all star ensemble cast featuring Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Brooklyn Decker, and Anna Kendrick, and the men featuring Chris Rock, Dennis Quaid, Matthew Morrison, Ben Falcone, and Chase Crawford. This smart and funny film is what great casting is all about; each and everyone brought something special to their characters. This is truly a glimpse that not everyone will experience the glow of pregnancy. Everyone will love this film.

I give this movie 4 ½ Stars.

The Dictator

Sacha Baron Cohen has done it again, creating a over the top character “General Haffaz Aladeen” in his new film The Dictator. The General is a hilariously funny dictator of the oil-rich African nation of Waadeya. He is schedule to visit the U.N. to address their concerns about his nuclear program in his country. Unaware of the attempt kidnapping and assassination by his right hand man Tahir (Ben Kingsley), the General escape and is let loose in the big apple with his identity stolen. Now he has to prove that he is the misguided leader of Waadeya, and he is trying to stop his impostor from allowing the democracy for all of his people. Will there be right given to all of the people of Waadeya or will the General dictated with a very funny iron fist.

The Dictator is written and star by Sacha Baron Cohen, this is another of his creation where he completely consumes the character and becomes General Aladeen. A little on gross side, with his usual racial antic, this movie is a typical Sacha Baron Cohen so watch it with that anticipation. This film is fair, and you can’t help but like the General. A must see movie this is not but you will enjoy his sick sense of humor.

I give this movie 3 Stars.

The Lucky One

The lucky one is a touching love story of survival against all odds, in the middle of a war and echoes at home. This story is from two peoples view, a woman whose love one is killed in the Iraq war and a soldier who is save by a picture of an unknown woman. Pure magic is created by the love Logan (Zac Efron) has for Beth (Taylor Schilling) and how it develops. With obstacles in their way, will her fears blind her to the truth or will she give in to what she’s feeling.

This romantic drama is a perfect combination of romance women are looking for, the strength of survival in the middle of war, and what happens when our soldiers come home. This movie is wonderfully cast and has a great storyline, everyone will enjoy.

I give this movie 4 star.

Five Year Engagemant

The five year engagement is a romantic comedy starring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt. This movie showcase the life of a couple when after a year to the day of them first time meeting each other at a New Year costume party, Tom (Jason Segel) propose to Violet (Emily Blunt), but what should have been a short engagement was extended to five years, as life interruption gets in the way. Will they make it down the aisle or go their separate ways?

With several movies under his belt co-writer Jason Segel and Director Nicholas Stoller has capture the essence of what couple goes through in a relationship with uncertainty of life. This movie has a perfect parody, that was a time’s on point. You will enjoy this movie and don’t be surprise if you say “that’s happen to me”, you will enjoy it.

I give this movie 4 Stars..

Think Like A Man

Think like a man is a LAUGH OUT LOUD comedy with the funniest comedians today like Kevin Hart and Gary Owen, and the sexiest men in Hollywood like Terrence J, Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara and Romany Malco. We also have the hottest leading ladies Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Gabrielle Union, and Taraji Henson. This all-star movie is a playbook for women about real men, and what they are really all about, from the bestselling book “Act like a Lady, Think like a Man” by author and comedian Steve Harvey. Women you won’t be disappointed, let me tell you, this is a reality check for women who think they know anything about men. WE KNOW NOTHING!!! “A MUST SEE”, “HILARIOUS “and AN EYE OPENER FILM”.

I give this movie 5 Stars…

The Cabin In The Woods

The cabin in the woods is about five friends going on a school break for a little bit of fun in a remote cabin, but an unexpected horror is waiting for them in the woods. I will make this short and sweet “worst movie I’ve seen”… Hard to follow and not realistic at least for a horror film, I knew what was going to happen before it did and the twist at the end (you got to be kidding)… I’m glad I didn’t pay to see it, but then my time will not be return for wasting it, watching this movie. 2 stars ONLY and I’m being generous!!!!

I give this movie 2 Stars…

This Means War

FDR (Chris Pine) and Tuck (Tom Hardy) are two CIA agents and bestfriends, send undercover to capture Heinrich (Til Schweiger) a ruthless killer, but the mission goes all wrong and Heinrich escape. Now both agents are suspended from all mission, so what are they to do, start looking for love! Now the battle begins when these two friends discover their dating the same woman, Lauren (Reese Witherspoon). Force to choose one of them, who will it be? And will they survive the hit on there heads.

This Means War is directed by McG best known for all of the Charlie’s Angels movies and the Terminator Salvation. McG cleverly casts two handsome and charming men, Pine and Hardy, with a sassy beautiful woman, Witherspoon adding to the formula a very funny lady, Chelsea Handler who stole all of her scenes. This is a hard decision for me to make, Hardy or Pine, imagine Witherspoon decision. Funny, with lot of action to keep you on the edge, This Means War will satisfy all your senses. “A MUST SEE” for both men and women...

I give this movie 5 Stars.

The Vow is directed by Michael Sucsy. It's a love story that will touch your heart, with moments that will make you cry and laugh, this movie will give you a glimpse of what true love can be. It's based on a true story showing that  love will conquer all. “This Is A Must See Movie”, don’t miss it…

Man on a Ledge

Nick Cassidy (Sam Worthington) is an ex-cop who became an escape fugitive on the run. Soon Nick threatens to jump off the ledge of a busy downtown Manhattan hotel. As the police and crowds gather underneath the building, Nick requests to speak to police negotiator Lydia Mercer (Elizabeth Banks) to tell his story. The more Nick tells his side to Officer Mercer, the more she realized that he may be innocent and that he may also have an ulterior motive for being on the ledge.

Man on a Ledge is an action pack thrill ride that will keep you guessing and wanting more. With unseen suspense, twists and turns, this movie will surprise you. You think a movie of a man on a ledge will be boring, but this movie director by Asger Leth will thrill you until the very end. A MUST SEE MOVIE!!!!

I give this movie 4 ½ Stars.

Haywire

Mallory Kane (Gina Carano) is hired for a government operative contract in a discreet operation to rescue Jiang (Anthony Brandon Wong) a Chinese journalist held hostage in Barcelona. After a successful recovery, Mallory is sent right away to another mission in Dublin Ireland, where she is betrayed. She will need all of her skills and her black ops military training to avenge and clear her name, but to find out who is behind her set-up, will cost someone from her own company dearly.

Haywire storyline is basic, but newcomer Gina Carano is in her element in kicking-ass and taking name. Unfortunately, the platform use does not work and it leaves you unfulfilled. Disappointment is the end result.

I give this movie 2 1/2 Stars...

The Devil Inside

Isabella Rossi (Fernanda Andrade) is on a trip to Italy to find out what really happened to her mother. There she becomes involved with father Ben (Simon Quarterman) and father David (Evan Helmuth) in a series of unauthorized exorcisms, after witnessing the exorcism she discovers that her mother could have been demonically possessed. Documenting her experiences and discovering that this really exists, maybe the priest will help her mother Maria Rossi (Suzan Crowley) who in 1989 brutally killed three people and is living in Rome in a insane asylum. Many have died to find out the truth, is there really a devil, and the answer no one had no an idea existed.

The Devil Inside is directed by William Brent Bell and Joaquin Perea, is a shocking and scary movie, this flick will leave you gasping and clinching the chair for cover. You will never forget what you saw, always remembering the disturbing images. DO NOT WATCH THIS ALONE.

I give this movie 5 Stars.
