The Dictator

Sacha Baron Cohen has done it again, creating a over the top character “General Haffaz Aladeen” in his new film The Dictator. The General is a hilariously funny dictator of the oil-rich African nation of Waadeya. He is schedule to visit the U.N. to address their concerns about his nuclear program in his country. Unaware of the attempt kidnapping and assassination by his right hand man Tahir (Ben Kingsley), the General escape and is let loose in the big apple with his identity stolen. Now he has to prove that he is the misguided leader of Waadeya, and he is trying to stop his impostor from allowing the democracy for all of his people. Will there be right given to all of the people of Waadeya or will the General dictated with a very funny iron fist.

The Dictator is written and star by Sacha Baron Cohen, this is another of his creation where he completely consumes the character and becomes General Aladeen. A little on gross side, with his usual racial antic, this movie is a typical Sacha Baron Cohen so watch it with that anticipation. This film is fair, and you can’t help but like the General. A must see movie this is not but you will enjoy his sick sense of humor.

I give this movie 3 Stars.
