Footloose

Ren MacCormack (Kenny Wormald) came to live with his aunt and uncle after the passing of his mother. Ren, born and raise in Boston is transfer to this small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a surprising dose of culture shock. The town's people have endure a major tragedy a few years ago, after five teens including Rev. Moore (Dennis Quaid) son died a violent accident, after a night out with friends. So the local councilmen and Rev. Moore implemented an ordinance prohibiting loud music and dancing of any kind. Ren challenge the ban and with the help of Willard (Miles Teller) his bestfriend and Ariel (Julianne Hough) Rev. Moore's daughter, they will have to fight to dance.

Footloose is directed by Craig Brewer of (Hustle & Flow) and to tell you the truth, I attended the screening being a little cynical that this remake would not be as good as the original from 1984. I always said, "If it's not broken, don't fix it." Well everyone I was WRONG, and I'm not afraid to say it. This remake of Footloose was Fantastic, giving tribute to the original movie, but making it modern for today's youth. I own the classic version, and now 27 years later a great version is out and now I know that my daughter will appreciate this version just as much as I love the 1984 version as well. "A MUST SEE MOVIE, DON'T MISS IT'.

I give this movie 5 Stars.
