It's Kind Of A Funny Story

This story is about 16 yr old Craig (Keir Gilchrist) who's depressed about everything that's going on in his life. He is in love with his best friend's girlfriend, Nia (Zoe Kravitz) and his inability to tell her how he feels, and the same goes with his father, constantly pushing college on him. This causes him to have unpredictable vast projectile vomiting at the most inconvenient time. Feeling suicidal he convinces the ER doctor to admit him to the psychiatric ward at the hospital. Unbeknownst to him, he gets transferred to the adult psychiatric side due to renovation on the children side. There he meets Bobby (Zach Galifianakis) and Noelle (Emma Roberts), and many others who helped him renovated his life, so he can live life to the fullest.

The story of "It's kind of a funny story" is an adaptation by the same name from Ned Vizzini. This movie has a very slow start, but like the little engine that could the story takes speed and leaves you feeling hopeful.

I give this movie 3 Stars.
