Let Me In

Let me in, is a story of two children whose isolation pushes them together. Owen(Kodi Smit-Mcphee) is being bullied at school everyday. His inability to interact with his peers has marked him as an oddball. Until one night he heard noises coming from outside. There he sees Abby(Chloe Moretz) and her father(Richard Jenkins) for the first time moving in to his apartment building in the middle of the night. The next evening Owen meets Abby in the Kidds park in front of his building. Abby is mysterious, but he notices a strange trait, she doesn't wear shoes and it the middle of winter in New Mexico. Owen has many questions to ask her but all she will tell him is that "we can't be friends". Intrigued, Owen sets in motion a friendship with her, and the two become closer, against her father wishes. During their courtship, a neighbor is discovered dead and an investigation of the killing in the area forces police to inquire information in the building. In danger of her secret to come out she confronts Owen and tells her secret. Now Owen will stop at nothing to protect his only friend.

Let Me In, is an adaptation of the Swedish counterpart "Let The Right One In". Director Matt Reeves(Cloverfield)who took this film and made it his own. Dark and ominous this vampire movie will have you wishing for daylight.

I give this movie 3 1/2 Stars.
