Director James Brooks is best known for his hits, "Terms of Endearment", "As good as It Get", and " The Simpson's". He has an eye for good comedy and this one is no doubt another hit for this award winning director. Reese Witherspoon and Jack Nicholson are always wonderful, but leave it to comedy pros Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson to steal the show. This is a must see.

Soon Ali makes her way from the bar to the stage. Her spectacular voice restores the Burlesque Lounge to it's former glory, but will it be too late before entrepreneur Marcus(Eric Dane) forces Tess to sale her Lounge?

Burlesque is Christina Aguilera's feature movie debut and she did a very good job. With Veterans like Cher, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci and Alan Cumming on stage, she was in good hands. The music was phenomenal, the choreographing especially exceptional. I left the theater wanting to be a burlesque dancer.. And so will you.

The Next Three Days

The life of John Brennan (Russell Crowe) and his wife Laura (Elizabeth Banks) is turned upside down when she is accused of murdering her boss. Laura has proclaimed her innocence, but with no proof, she was convicted. After three years into her sentence, John is under pressure to hold his family together for his son Luke (Ty Simpkins) sakes, who needs him now more then ever. However, everything changes after he received the rejection letter for the final appeal, and Laura couldn't handle it anymore. John decided that there's only one solution and that is to breaking her out of prison and there's nothing he won't risk to achieve this, including his own freedom.

The Next Three Days is a high action movie, Russell Crowe delivers another hit. For the men, he gives this character a toughness feeling with a bit of 007. For the women, he gives them a compassionate and caring man that will risk anything for the woman he loves.

Morning Glory

After Becky Fuller(Rachel McAdams) was fired from her New Jersey morning-news program "Daybreak" and she moved back home. Becky was dealing with rejection after rejection until a break came her way, in the format of a low-rating morning program news in New York City. Unfortunately, the show has been unsuccessful for 40 yrs, so to shake things up and to pick-up the rating, she bring on a legendary anchorman, Mike Pomeroy(Harrison Ford). Pomeroy however, refuses to cooperate with anyone including the producer Becky and his co-anchor Colleen Peck(Diane Keaton) by not doing any puff news. How can Becky manage an unruly anchor,a new relationship and a tanking ranking?

Morning Glory is a smart funny story, Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton are pure magic together. The storyline make sense, a true refreshing comedy, enjoyment for both men and women. Keaton has brought out her wildness to the film and Ford has kept it straight lined funny you'll love the balance.

Unstoppable

Unstoppable is about a dangerous runaway train carrying toxic chemicals. Train engineer Frank Barnes(Denzel Washington) and conductor Will Colson(Chris Pine) team-up to stop it. Connie Hooper(Rosario Dawson) works frantically with the two men to stop it before it derails and causes the spilling of toxic material on a small town.

Directed by Tony Scott, he has made this high impact action that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Once again Denzel Washington has you spellbound, and you can't look away.

I give this movie 3 1/2 Stars.

Paranormal Activity 2

After Katie and Micah tragic ending, paranormal activity 2 sets a continuation of the original format, so you think? The family come home to what looks like a break-in, so the family set-up security cameras all around their house, only to realise that a more evil presences is there. Wow, this is the first time that a sequel is better then the original, with all you're question being answered from the first movie. You will scream, hide your faces, and afterwards have the whole family join you in the same bed. This is a must see.

Jackass

Guess who's back? Those crazy Jackasses Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O and the rest of the gang. With pranks like the sling-shot port-a-potty with Steve-O and a large supply of human excrement, lots of balls shots, animal stampede, and their usual chaotic pranks. The gang are a bit older and more reluctant to do some of the stunts. The 3D technology that puts everything up-front -and personal, redefines the usage of balls across your nose.

If you love Jackass 1, and 2, you will love 3D. Johnny and the boys have become very rich men doing this, and those Jackasses are laughing all the way to the bank. The pranks are so stupid, that you love it, for its simplicity mix with chaotic, sick, demented humor, you will love it. And what do they say? Oh, yes it always better in 3D.

I give this movie 5 Stars....

Conviction

Conviction is based on the real life events of Kenneth Waters and his sister Betty Anne Waters.

This touching story of love, and blinded faith to her brothers innocence was extraordinary, and her believe to fight with everything you have, for the one you love.

I give this movie 5 Stars....

A drama involving three different people from three different parts of the world. George Lonegan(Matt Damon)is a American with genuine psychic abilities. He struggles to lead a normal life without the use of his power. All the while, his brother Billy(Jay Mohr) urges him to use his gift for money. Directed by Clint Eastwood, this multi-language movie French and English with subtitles was long and monotonous. The best sequence was the first fifteen minutes of movie, then it went downhill from there. This movie will be best enjoyed on cable t.v. were you at least can change the channel, and it won't hurt your pockets.

Never Let Me Go

Childhood friends, Kathy(Carey Mulligan), Tommy(Andrew Garfield) and Ruth(Keira Knightley) grew-up in Hailsham, a seemingly idyllic British boarding school. Life at Hailsham was solace for the children, unfamiliar with life outside the gates, they found comfort in each other. Until a rude awakening occurs, when their teacher Miss Lucy(Sally Hawkins) informed them, that they're all very special children with a unique propose and their life's in the outside world will be very different, compare to everyone else.

Never Let Me Go is a drama/thriller directed by Mark Romanek, this movie was dull and boring. Unable to follow the storyline at first, then you realize that you don't care if you do. I rather be at home painting my room, and then watching the paint dry.
I give this movie 1 1/2 Stars.

Action pack from beginning to end, this movie is perfect for the adventure seeking men and romantic seeking women with enough of both to satisfy everyone. Life As We Know It.

Holly Berenson(Katherin Heigl) is set up on a blind date with Eric Messer(Josh Duhamel) by their mutual best friends Alison and Peter Novack. After a disastrous first date, their life haves intertwined due to their best friends marriage. Unfortunately, their friends continued to thrust them together by making them, their child's godparents. Unbeknownst to them, and after their friends tragic death, they found out that they have inherited little Sophie(Alexis,Brynn, and Brooke Clagett) as her caregiver. These two single enemies will have to come together and raise baby Sophie. Can they co-exist together under the same house without killing each other first?

While this movie is not original, it's a remake of 2004 film "Raising Waylon" written by Neena Beeber's. The Chemistry between Heigl and Duhamel will heat up the screen, but unfortunately, its still the same character for Heigl, playing a neurotic, workaholic, frigid woman. But in this movie its seems to work well. The storyline ending, was predictable, but you will enjoy the ride. So go ahead and purchase your ticket, this roller coaster ride of emotion is worth the admission.

I give this movie 3 1/2 Stars.

Let Me In

Let me in, is a story of two children whose isolation pushes them together. Owen(Kodi Smit-Mcphee) is being bullied at school everyday. Unbeknownst to him, he gets transferred to the adult psychiatric side due to renovation on the children side. There he meets Bobby (Zach Galifianakis) and Noelle (Emma Roberts), and many others who helped him renovated his life, so he can live life to the fullest.

The story of "It's kind of a funny story" is an adaptation by the same name from Ned Vizzini. This movie has a very slow start, but like the little engine that could the story takes speed and leaves you feeling hopeful.

Mourning the passing of Corey Haim

Corey Haim died on March 10, 2010 at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Los Angeles. His mother called 911 when Corey's assistant witness him getting out of bed and felt to his knees with weakness. Haim's autopsy and toxicology will determine the cause of death, which is pending. Police has rule out foul play due to no evidence to suggest it.

The Toronto- born actor first debut in a commercial at age 10, and by the mid-80's he was a full pledge teen idol with accolades and a well-earned reputation. Corey Haim was best known for his roles in the 80's classics teen movies like "Lucas", "Lost Boys" and "Watchers"; Corey had numerous movies under his belt that catapulted him to stardom. In 2007, Corey did try to recapture his 15 minutes of fame once again in his short- lived reality show, "The Two Corey's" co-starring his best friend Corey Feldman. However, Corey life was ravished by substance abuse from prescription drugs and cocaine which was apparent during production. Corey did decline the offer last year to appear on the reality show, "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew". Corey made a reported 15 trips to rehab to kick the habit. The one comfort Corey had in his life for the past few years was his artwork, which allow his natural creativity to surface, after being out of the limelight. He loved to paint and found tranquility in it, whatever demons Corey Haim's was dealing with, his legacy will live on through his movies and on his canvas. I hope that the peace he try to attain in life is realized in heaven, now that our favorite lost boy is gone.
